Jennifer began using Apple computers in 1986, and has worked with Adobe graphics software since its first version. After she earned her MFA in New Genres at San Francisco Art Institute in 1997, she spent a year as the Associate On-Line Editor at MacAddict Magazine and six years as Programmer-Analyst at University of California, Berkeley’s Department of Philosophy. She also creates dance-theater, performs, teaches, and facilitates Fieldwork workgroups for Rose City Field, an inclusive peer-facilitated forum for art-making.

On Monday evenings Jennifer will be teaching Resilient Movement, a weekly practice to train the body and mind as a pathway into creativity and performance. She also co-facilitates tttpdx’s Saturday sessions for Rose City Field. Fieldwork is an non-curated, inclusive peer-facilitated forum for creating works and works-in-progress for artists of all disciplines.

Sharyll Burroughs, i.e. Colordgirl, is a multidisciplinary artist who creates work to provoke new dialogues that challenge and transcend conventional ideologies about what identity means and the ways in which it's discussed. A student of the human condition, Sharyll utilizes Buddhism, along with the practice of self inquiry, to explore the concept of identity beyond racial, cultural, and societal parameters. She attended the Santa Monica College of Design, Art, and Architecture, a school founded by MacArthur Genius Fellow, Joan Abrahamson. Her work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions in Los Angeles, California and in Portland, Oregon where she now resides.

Julie has a wealth of knowledge about how things work, and has been invaluable in problem solving how to get the tiny theaterpdx’s garden and inside studio space up and running.
