Art embraces life in all its complexity: Love and compassion as well as terror and despair. Please join artist Sharyll Burroughs for Art and the Human Experience, a salon exploring provocative work by controversial artists such as Zbigniew Libera, Taravat Talepasand, and Jean Paul Goude, who push boundaries that foster difficult questions. Participants will be invited to contemplate and practice new dialogues about what it means to be human, including what liberation and healing looks like in an increasingly chaotic world.

How can we tune into and enhance our abilities to perceive and dialogue about art? The Art of Seeing investigates this question by presenting unique examples of time-based art on video, and practicing skills of perception, to facilitate deeper dialogues. Each Sunday a different facilitator will explore a specific performance practice. This series is organized by Anet Margot Ris, founder/director of The Tiny Theater PDX.
